Big Impact-Fall Still Life
Have you always wanted to learn to paint but feel short on time,
space or money? Discover how small paintings can resolve these
issues while providing opportunities to make beautiful, complete
works of art. Class will cover fundamentals while you paint
autumn-themed subjects to include objects from nature and the
fall harvest. Students will complete one painting per session.
All supplies provided. Class fee: $75.
NEW | Bob Ross Oil Painting
Have you ever wanted to try oil painting, but didn’t know where
to start? Start here! Jay Rupp, a certified Bob Ross instructor,
will guide you step-by-step as you paint. All supplies will be
provided. Wear painting appropriate clothing and bring a bag
lunch. Wooden picture frames are available for purchase after
class. Class fee: $59.

NEW | Acrylic Pouring-Tree Ring Technique NEW | Expressive Drawing
Acrylic paint pouring is an exciting method for making unique,
abstract art. Learn about pouring mediums and mixing paints
to get consistent results to develop beautiful patterns in
your paintings. You will create two unique 8 in. x 8 in. canvas
paintings. All supplies are included! Wear old clothes, it’s a messy
medium. Paintings will need time to dry, so you will need to pick
up your paintings the following week. Class fee: $45. Add some color and pizzazz to your drawing by experimenting
with a variety of materials and techniques to create expressive
drawings from still life and photos. Line, layering, texture, and
color will give your drawings richness as you explore the creative
process in this fun and relaxing class. A different theme will be
explored each class. Some drawing experience helpful. Not

Instructor, Dan McAvey, will guide you through each step and
teach you the skills to create a beautiful and unique 16 in. x 20
in. acrylic painting of Minnehaha Falls. No experience is required
to have a fun night and create a piece of art you can bring

Basic Drawing
Come paint a portrait of your furry loved one. Pet portraits make
amazing gifts. After you register, email a high quality jpeg photo
file of your pet to instructor Vanessa Merry, merrytimearts@
comcast.net, with the subject line, “Anoka-Hennepin Pet
Portraits.” One pet per person/canvas please. Photos must be
received via email at least two weeks prior to the class date. Your
pet will be hand drawn onto a 16 in. x 20 in. canvas for you to
paint in class with the help of a professional artist. All supplies
are provided. Class fee: $55.
