Volunteer Opportunity Daily Opportunity Indoor Walking Walk the hallways of Skyview Community School and/or John Glenn Middle School and forget the worries of inclement weather. Walk Monday through Thursday from 6:30–8:30 pm and 9–11:30 am on most Saturdays. After you register, you will be sent a Walking Club Card and a list of dates the buildings are not available. The $15 fee is for unlimited walking October 2019 through March 2020. This one evening event is designed to bring the community in to pack boxes of food that will be distributed to families. Your “job” will be to help give out the contents of the boxes (food pantry items) as the families walk by your table. The boxes that are assembled will then be given to families in need. This fun event is sponsored by SoWashCo CARES. The Anson Northrup Paddleboat will depart from Harriet Island located across the river from downtown St. Paul. Travel up the river through the wooded Great River National Park to Fort Snelling. Fall color viewing should be spectacular! The Mississippi River has a tremendous history that all Minnesotans should encounter. Come and enjoy an afternoon on the “Ol’ Miss!” A box lunch with a turkey sandwich wedge, chips, apple, cookie and beverage is included. A vegetarian and gluten free option is available. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night that they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
