Learn about geometric and organic shapes by exploring artwork by Mondrian , Matisse , and Caponi Art Park founder Anthony Caponi , in this exciting workshop . Then make your own cut-paper abstract work of art , followed by a nature walk through the park ’ s beautiful woodland trails . Make Your Own Melt & Pour Soap Do you love the scents of homemade soap ? Try making your own using the easy “ melt & pour ” method that anyone can do . You will learn about the process , see how it is done , then participate in pouring it into a mold . Leave with a bar of soap to enjoy at home . Gretchen Carlson

Painted Pot and Planting Paint a pot using some new painting techniques . While that dries you will paint a wooden decorative flower and then learn about and plant a sea urchin cactus plant . Renee Turner

Expanding an Image ( Art & Nature Hike ) Learn about artist Romare Bearden in this fun-filled workshop . Then choose a magazine image as a starting point to create an expanded scene fueled by your imagination ! The workshop will be followed by a nature walk through Caponi Art Park ’ s beautiful woodland trails where you should keep an eye out for the ways imagination has been used in the sculptures you will see along the way .
