Community Bridge Consortium Guidelines for Participation
Community Bridge Consortium classes and activities are customized for adults with cognitive disabilities. Reasonable
accommodations will be provided to ensure an enriching experience for all participants. Your cooperation in following
the guidelines listed below helps to make the classes and trips run smoothly and safely.
1. Preregistration is required for all classes, activities and trips. No walk-ins will be accepted except for VFW Flyers.
This includes dances.
2. You will be notified if classes, trips or activities are cancelled. Plan to attended unless you are notified of
cancellation.
3. Participants must be accompanied to the classroom. The instructor/facilitator is in the classroom no earlier than 15
minutes before class starts. Be prompt in picking up participants following a class or trip.
4. A care provider must attend if medication needs to be administered during event.
5. Participants who require one to one personal attention for physical and/or behavioral issues must be accompanied
and supervised in classes and on trips by a primary care giver.
6. If more than 3 people are registering from same address, a care provider should attend the class or trip and supervise
the participants.
7. If a behavioral incident occurs, a primary care giver may be required to accompany the participant to all future
classes and trips.

10. All Community Bridge activities are school sponsored, so there is no smoking or drinking.
11. Transportation to and from the class/activity is the responsibility of the participant or care provider.
12. All let’s Go Twin Cities participants MUST ride the bus to and from events. The bus leaves from and returns to
White Bear Lake Area High School South Campus – directions are on page 10.
Cancellations
• Cancellations must be made at least two days before the start of the class or by the registration date indicated.
• The cost of supplies or tickets that have been purchased or committed to are non-refundable regardless of
cancellations date.
Refunds
• A check refund will be issued for classes/activities that cost $10 or more or if multiple classes are refunded at once.
• A refund voucher will be issued for classes that cost less than $10.00.
• Payments made by credit card – a refund will be made to the card
• Refunds or vouchers cannot be given after the start of a class; or for missed/forgotten classes.
Safety Disclaimer
There is an inherent risk of accident and injury in any activity. It is the responsibility of the participant to be aware that
there are assumed risks in participation. ISD 622 assumes no responsibility for injuries received during activities. Any
changes in participants’ activity level should be done under approval and directions of their physician and/or health care
provider(s).
Closing Due to Weather
In case of bad weather, you will be notified if your class or activity is cancelled. You may also tune in to local media –
broadcast, print and online for information on school closures, or check the district website at www.isd622.org for the
most current updates. Classes are not held when schools are closed due to the weather.

Consider making a tax deductible donation to the Community Bridge Consortium to support the costs associated with
running Community Bridge– brochure printing and postage, reduced fees, special events, and transportation.
