Visit MN History: Historic Fort Snelling NO ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT Community Bridge is excited to launch this series of historical tours to many popular and some not so well known, places where history happened. The first tour will be to Historic Fort Snelling. This walking / wheel chair accessible tour explores this restored 1820’ s fort- once the farthest outpost of the U. S. in the homeland of the Dakota Indians. Interact with history performers, watch frontier skills demos, tour barracks, sutler store & hospital and hear the daily firing of the cannon. The bus will leave from and return to Gladstone. Please note there will be no building access. Meet Kathy Ader outside the Manton St. entrance. Bus leaves promptly at 9:30 AM and returns at approximately 12:30 PM. Dress for the weather as this tour will run rain or shine.
