During the CA Selection process I had the pleasure to interview one resident from the wings of both Nelson and Meaghan. These individuals had nothing but wonderful things to say about the two CAs.
Nelson was described as being caring, available, and incredibly helpful. One resident told me they wouldn't have chosen to continue at Georiga College had it not been for the knowledge and support that their CA Nelson gave to them on a regular basis. This attention to the residents, such as themself, is what inspired this particular resident to apply to be a CA.
Meaghan is known for providing countless opportunities for her residents to interact and build community. One resident of Meaghan's commented on how she was nervous about making the adjustment from high school to college and it was Meaghan's programming and intent to make contact with each and every resident that made Georgia College and Foundation feel like home.

A Note From the CD:
"I am proud to hear residents and CA’s are able to see how much Nelson cares about being a CA for University Housing, specifically GNOME NATION. Over this year Nelson has become a role model to many residents and colleagues due to his active participation and support in our Community Council Nelson represents University Housing in a positive way through the relationships he’s formed, academic accomplishments and his continuous CA improvement efforts. Nelson is experimental and inquisitive which provides liveliness to our staff and keeps us on our toes. This year Nelson and I have gotten to know each other and learned from one another a great deal. Nelson is an interesting young man with many layers and I know Nelson cares passionately, is genuine and is someone who works hard in school, his CA role and in our community.
Meaghan has worked on my staff for the past 2 years in Gnome Nation. She was one of the many students who welcomed me in a special engaged and compassionate way upon my arrival! I've enjoyed getting to know Meaghan in our marathon one on one meetings and I know without a doubt she is a young lady who desires to be the best person that she can mentally, physically and spiritually. Meaghan thrives on building a community through casual conversations and activities getting to know her residents on her floor and all over the building. It is bittersweet knowing that Meaghan will be graduating this May leaving her post as my CA BUT I am also very proud of Meaghan and look forward to hearing all of the beautiful things she accomplishes as she continues her journey post Georgia College."
