"Here is a Blessing Bag Project example that would make for a good program idea."
A great way to teach residents that a small act of kindness can go a long way. Here they will assemble what is called a “blessing bag”. They can either keep the bag for themselves, or keep in their room or car whenever they see someone else in need. The main point is to show residents how important and easy charitable behavior can be. Residents can bring their own items to contribute to the program in order to help further the reach beyond the residents halls and to the community at large.
Some items that could be included are: gallon ziplock bags, chapstick, packages of tissues, toothbrush and toothpaste, comb, soap, hotel size shampoos, trail mix, granola, crackers, pack of gum, bandaids, mouthwash, etc… ideas are endless!!
