Sue Algiers, Carrie Palmer, Kathryn Zimpel and Coral Loebel took 35 HUHS students to Guatemala and Belize for 10 days where they attended language school for 5 days in the am and visited local sights in the pm. The students were hosted by local families for the week we were in Antigua. They had the opportunity to visit a local daycare where they brought school supplies for the children. They climbed a volcano, canoed through underground caves used by the Mayas, visited a coffee plantation, went zip-lining, had dinner with a Mayan family, explored the massive Mayan ruins of Tikal in northern Guatemala, and went snorkeling along the barrier reef and lounged on the beach in Belize. Everyone learned a lot and had tons of fun!

Congratulations to the SkillsUSA students who recently competed at Nationals in Kansas City! Adam Pozorski brought home a 2nd place medal for his skills in the Motorcycle Service Technology competition, congratulations Skills USA!
