My Toolbox for Peace
Once I was hired as a handyman for peace,
And my employers wanted me to unite the Earth with ease.
But I soon learnt that that was not the case,
For make people understand and work together is not
something to be done in haste.
I went around learning what was wrong,
And from what I observed, it was obvious that I would have to
work for very long.
So I took out my toolbox and got to work,
Because I knew it would take some time to get rid of the
disagreement that lurked.
My drill gun represented understanding, one of the most
important values.
It helps us think about and comprehend another’s feelings
and put ourselves in their shoes.
Similarly, my drill bored into the heart of problems,
And let me see their causes as clearly as shining gems.
The hammer and nail represented trust, a value like no other.
It attaches two people with a bond so strong; they can never be
pried apart by another.
