HOW CAN CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE COME
TOGETHER TO BRING PEACE IN A SOCIETY?
Young people and children form most of the population of the world. When it
comes to peacebuilding in a society, the involvement of children and young
people is very important. Their participation in pacification activities plays a
crucial role. In today’s growing world, most children are very creative in their
own way. This creativity hidden inside each child can be utilised to bring peace in
the society. For instance, I am very creative in designing and handwriting styles,
so I could design a leaflet or maybe a brochure to spread awareness. On the other
hand, my friend is a creative artist and could design posters to be put up within
the community. When children with different talents come together to contribute
in such actions, the diverse ideas suggested by a large group of people generate
better schemes to build up peace in the community.
Scarcity is a very common economic problem that exists in some parts of the
world. Few people cannot afford to get education, and hence, are not aware of the
importance of peacekeeping. Quality education would ensure that awareness
about peacekeeping would reach the remotest corners of the world via the
educated youngsters. When children engage themselves in helping the people of
rural areas, it would lead to the inclusion of backward classes and bring together
more youths for creating a diplomatic society.
