In 2024 , our employees invested nearly 2,000 hours back into Rhode Island through volunteer initiatives And , in 2023 alone , Cox donated over $ 1.6 million in cash and in-kind contributions to various non-profits throughout the state , in addition to offering affordable internet through our digital equity programs .
Since 2001 , our employees have generously funded $ 7 million in grants and in-kind support for nonprofit organizations that offer STEAM ( Science , Technology , Engineering , Arts and Math ) enrichment programs to young people in Rhode Island , Connecticut and Ohio through our employee-funded Cox Charities program . This long-term investment underscores our commitment to empowering the next generation through education and technology .
