Amica has supported the American Red Cross , and specifically the Rhode Island / Connecticut chapter , for the last 20 years . We ’ ve invested in Red Cross initiatives like the Home Fire Preparedness Response program to reduce the number of injuries and fatalities caused by home fires , as well as aided in recovery efforts following natural disasters .
“ Showing up for communities to prevent tragedy and to offer aid following disaster is a true demonstration of empathy ,” said Ted Shallcross , Amica president and CEO . “ We applaud the tireless work of the Red Cross , and are proud to align ourselves with an organization that shares our commitment to helping those in their time of need .”
Shallcross continued , “ We ’ re equally proud and appreciative to have Amica ’ s leaders contribute their time and talents to organizations that positively impact the community . Amica ’ s longtime support of our Red Cross chapter continues with Tony Noviello , senior vice president at Amica , serving as board chairman .”
Tony follows in the footsteps of fellow Amica leaders Jo-Ann Pellegrino and Sean Welch , who previously served in this important role .
