Amica employees hit their goal of 50,000 meals packed for U . S . Hunger .
Amica puts empathy in action by volunteering at the Rhode Island Community Food Bank .

Each November , Amica employees across the country engage in our Month of Giving activities to support those facing food insecurity . In 2023 , 50,000 meals were packed at the corporate headquarters in Lincoln that were distributed locally by U . S . Hunger . Nearly 25,000 food items and donations were collected by employees to support the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and food banks across the country where policyholders and employees live and work .
Amica partnered with the Amica Mutual Pavilion and the Providence Friars to enhance its support of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank this year , hosting a successful weekend food drive . Additionally , the Amica Companies Foundation contributed $ 50 for every three-point basket made by the Friars ’ men ’ s and women ’ s basketball teams in November . This led to a donation of nearly $ 4,000 thanks to the Friars ’ success .
One other highlight of the giving campaign is the annual Thanksgiving card sent to policyholders across the country . Alongside the traditional card , Amica creates an e-card for its customers and employees to share . The Amica Companies Foundation pledged $ 1 for each share , contributing nearly $ 6,000 to U . S . Hunger this year .

Over the past six years , Amica employees have helped collect over 150,000 basic need items , and over $ 150,000 in monetary donations in support of the communities we serve . And in 2022 , Amica , along with the Amica Companies Foundation , provided $ 4.4 million in grants and community sponsorships .
