“These days ‘creative
technology’ is almost
commonplace, but back
in the day it seemed
relatively rare. Boulder
Dash was one of the first
times in my life where I
was able to draw on both
my artistic-creative and
technical-mathematical
sides. It was as if separate
poles had merged into a
single whole. I wrote the
original version for the
Atari 400/800 and it
was then ported to other
platforms by various
developers. The C64
conversion was by
far the most faithful
to the original.”
