FLOAT
The weight of your float will
obviously be decided by the depth
of your swim, but at this time of year
a bit of depth is better, something
around 6feet would be a great
starting point making a float of ten
No10 shot perfect.
With wind often a factor opt for a
pear shape with a wire stem that will
add stability.
ADDED WEIGHT
Position two of your No10 shot just
up from the float. They will still act
on the float when you’re fishing with
a lighter bait like caster or double
maggot, but if you want to aim for
bigger fish with a slightly heavier bait
such as corn they can be moved up
to the pole tip to counter the extra
weight, without wrecking your rig.
