NJBankers President and CEO John E . McWeeney , Jr ., to Retire
The New Jersey Bankers Association ( NJBankers ) has announced that John E McWeeney , Jr ., president and CEO , intends to retire effective the close of business on June 30 , 2022 . McWeeney informed the board of directors of his retirement plans in June 2020 in order to allow for an orderly transition . In addition to his president and CEO position , he serves as chair of NJBankers Business Services , the association ’ s for-profit subsidiary , Bankers Cooperative Group , the association ’ s affiliated employee benefits brokerage and the New Jersey Bankers Association Charitable Foundation .
NJBankers President and CEO John E McWeeney , Jr .
McWeeney , age 66 , joined the organization as president and CEO in April 2007 , after a 28-year banking career with Bank of America and its predecessor , Fleet Bank .
