Diane Curcio Walsh is a former beat reporter for The Star-Ledger . She was part of the newsroom team awarded the 2005 Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News for their coverage of the sensational resignation of New Jersey Gov . Jim Mc- Greevey when he revealed his adulterous affair and declared : " I am a gay American ."
Born and raised in Hudson County , Diane lived in Westfield for many years with her husband , Superior Court Judge Thomas . J . Walsh , before retiring to Spring Lake recently . They have one son , Thomas F . X . Walsh , who is a first year law student at Catholic University .
After Diane left The Star-Ledger in 2009 she joined the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey , where she was an executive vice president focusing on communications and special programming . Since retiring last September Diane still enjoys contributing to COMMERCE Magazine as a freelancer .
