Project : Costa Dentistry Location : Great Falls , Virginia Architect : GTM Architects
The lounge-like atmosphere in Costa Dentistry ’ s new office uses luxurious black and white finishes to create a space that balances the practicality and functionality necessary for a family dentistry office with a high-end , modern aesthetic .
Dramatic angles and curves throughout the space provide privacy and separation , while the usage of durable materials make the environment easy to clean . To ensure the space embodied the practice ’ s commitment to sustainability , the space ’ s luxury vinyl tile flooring is made from renewable and natural raw materials while the selected carpet is carbon-neutral .
Upon entering the space , guests are greeted by a sculptural , custom reception desk that anchors the waiting room and works in tandem with the serpentine bulkhead to draw attention to the custom logo wall . Two bendable LED fixtures were used to create the “ O ” in the Costa logo , offering a perfect balance of contrast against the black wall . Black separation panels with a gradation of open circles help keep natural light flowing throughout the space . Meanwhile , staggered lighting in the dental bays offers sufficient ambient lighting . Other staff rooms include a lab space , break room , and private restroom .
