"Digital Media Literacy is an emerging concept that will only become more vital as we move into the near future. It has very serious socio-political implications that we have only recently started to see playing out in worldwide politics.
I think that in the U.S., digital media literacy will become an issue that we will recognize as a social force that can bring about greater social equality and political engagement.
At this point I feel that its power domestically has been overshadowed by the dramatic things happening overseas, but that from the simplest edge it can give in education to the giant leaps it can lead to in public engagement, we will be hearing much more."

Terri Carlos has served as Director of Development for Annual Giving and Constituent Management at California State University, San Bernardino since April 1999.
In 2008, her responsibilities were increased to oversee the Prospect and Management Tracking System. Overseeing the entire annual giving program, including the annual Faculty Staff Campaign, Terri has raised more than $2.2 million in gifts and pledges, including $300,000 in planned gifts and several scholarship endowments. She supervises a staff of one full time employee and a student assistant and serves as the campus administrator for the annual giving phonathon system, CampusCall.
