MOUNT SELOK

According to wisatacilacap.org, Mount Selok is actually
an area of forest which is managed by Perum Perhutani
KPH East Banyumas . Covering an area of 236 .7 Ha is a
hill in the village area Karangbenda District of Adipala
with an altitude of 0 to 150 meters above the sea
surface .
Selok Mountain can be reached by bus or private
vehicles from the terminal Adipala . Mount Selok is a
very comfortable, fun, and unique place travel to,
because this location serves a mix of a natural beauty of
hill forests, a cave fortress Japan heritage which
supposedly there are 25 forts and southern sea coast .
The visitors of Mount Selok are usually interested in
history places so that they go to the burial plot or caves.
There are also sacred places that well-known such as
Padepokan Jambe Lima and Padepokan Jambe Pitu.
Padepokan Jambe Lima or also known as Cemara Seta is
founded by Eyang Mara Diwangsa. He is a brother of
Patih Cakraningrat who is the father of Cakrawerdaya, the
first governor of Cilacap.
Padepokan Jambe Pitu had ever been renovated by Mr.
Soeharto, one of the Presidents of Indonesia. this place is
crowded by the visitors because there are 3 sacred places
in Padepokan Jambe Pitu. They are Sang Hyang Wisnu
Murti, Eyang Lengkung Kusuma and Cakra baskara or
Eyang Lengkung Cuwiri.
