the world but what seems new to
me is the pedestal on which you
can find it in recent times. Grow-
ing up in the 90's, music was
business as usual. Music was per-
ceived as a tool for not just cre-
ativity but ingenuity and change.
Music artistes were not releasing
songs to show their supremacy
but live a legacy. It is perhaps one
of the reasons we cannot seem to
let go of the past – music wise.
This has however changed in
recent times. Altercation is fast
becoming an acceptable norm
particularly within the Dancehall
and Hip Hop fraternities.

is, it is not all blooming for the
president of Sarkcess Music. He
has been under public scrutiny
since 2016 when fellow rapper
M.anifest gave him a run for his
'undisputed' title when the latter
released a song titled godMC at-
tributed to him. That altercation
badly wounded the rapper - not
literally. Many applauded M.an-

upon releasing the song. Reggae/

his own brushes with other music
