W
e grew up with a defined idea of who or what is beautiful and
what is not. We unknowingly embrace the standards set aside for
beauty depending on trends. And growing up with this knowl-
edge, we expect the lips to look a certain way, the space between
they eyebrows well defined, perfect dentition to our judgement,
and the nose, not too long or short. Any other feature that falls
short of our definition is considered otherwise.
Thankfully, the media and fashion industry over the years are
moving boundaries and redefining the concept of beauty. And in
recent years, these definitions go beyond what might be consid-
ered as conventionally beautiful by the masses. This however has
subconsciously altered our perception of beauty.
