4

Marsha was a black trans woman who along with Sylvia Riveria played a crucial role in the Stonewall Riots. She created the Street Transgender Action Revolutionaries (S.T.A.R) & the S.T.A.R House that mentored young trangender women in New York. Marsha worked her whole life to protect trans women and the LGBT+ community as a whole. Her legacy is important because she helped start the modern LGBT+ rights movement.
