Holiday Gift Giving and Bake Sale It’s a Mele Kalikimaka Party
Our annual holiday gift giving and bake sale will be held
on Friday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
A variety of holiday gifts will be on sale, some of which
the residents made. Baked goods, candy, cocoa and other
items will be available.
All proceeds from this event will go to the resident
special events fund to ensure everyone receives a gift
from Santa.
If anyone would like to donate a craft item or baked
good for our show, please contact Patrice Melton, activity
director.
Thank you for your continued generosity toward our
residents. Our annual family Christmas party will
be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. in
the dining room.
We know that some of our residents
will not be able to go home for Christmas,
so this is a special time for families and
friends to come here and celebrate the
spirit of Christmas with them.
Since the weather outside is usually
frightful, we decided to warm things up by
celebrating with a Hawaiian themed
Christmas. So come to our party decked
out with your floral Hibiscus shirts and
cabana hats as we celebrate and enjoy
special memories this holiday season.
Once again the Colonial Springs
Singers will entertain you with Christmas
Carols and possibly a few Hawaiian
songs.
If you have any questions, please
contact Patrice Melton, activity director,
at 417-345-2228.
Don’t forget to bring a gift to put under
the tree because Santa Claus will be
making a special visit.
Resident Gift Giving
Every year we always wonder, “What should I get mom
or dad, grandma or grandpa?”
Below are a few helpful suggestions that might get you
started on your Christmas gift giving.
*2019 Calendar (Large print, if possible).
*Large clock.
*Kindle Fire/Tablet.
*CD player with favorite CDs.
*Gift Certificates to facility beauty shop.
*Large print puzzles or word searches.
*MP3 player with music they would enjoy.
We hope you enjoy shopping for your loved one.
Merry Christmas!
***If you purchase clothes, please label the item with
their name.***
Countdown to Noon Party
Since hardly any of us stay up until
the stroke of midnight on New Year’s
Eve, the residents will be having a
“Countdown to 12 noon” party on Dec.
31. We will have our party in the dining
room area as we wait for lunch to be
served.
Horns, hats and noisemakers will be
provided. We may even have some
non-alcohol sparkling grape juice.
Families are welcome to come
celebrate with us.
