Summer Craft Show/Bake Sale Over the past few months, our ladies and gentlemen have been busy making summer time crafts for your gardening pleasure. We will be selling these items at our first Annual Summer Craft Show on Friday, Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Some items that we will have available are: gazing balls; outdoor lawn ornaments; bird feeders; and light houses. Baked goods, such as cookies, cakes and homemade pies, will be available for purchase. If you would like to donate a baked good for our sale, please see Patrice, activity director, or call us at 417-345-2228 Every year, local churches sponsor vacation Bible schools for children to attend. This year, we decided to have our very own Vacation Bible School program geared toward adults. Sometimes we feel lost and lonely, and we feel we have no one to turn to. VBS is here, to help guide our way through lost times in our lives. This week’s VBS theme is titled “Lost At Sea.” Through each day’s Bible lesson we will discover who we can turn to, to help us cope with realities in life. We will discuss Noah, Jonah, Jesus calling His disciples, and Jesus as our Captain. We will not only have daily discussions, but we will make crafts, sing songs, and have snacks just like real Vacation Bible School sessions. If you would like to join us in finding our way with the Lord, we will conduct our VBS from Aug. 14 - 18. Check our calendar for times.
