Volunteer Tea

The tea will be held Tuesday , April 25 at 2 p . m . in the dining room . This is just our little way of saying “ thank you .”

Intergenerational Day
This month we celebrate “ Week of the Young Child .” We will be visiting some very special children at “ A Step Ahead ” daycare on Tuesday , April 11 , at 10 a . m . Children are a very important aspect of our elderly population ’ s lives . They love to see their grandchildren visit . A child brightens their day as soon as he or she enters the room .
We will take some books with us to “ A Step Ahead ” and read to the children . Each one of our ladies and gentlemen will read a story . This will not only benefit the children , but our ladies and gentlemen alike . I am sure there will be smiles on everyone ’ s faces .
Spring Pests
Spring has officially arrived , and so has the potential for those pesky little ants . We would like to remind our families that if you bring in any type of food , please place it in a sealed Tupperware-type container with the resident ’ s name on the item .
If it is something that needs to be refrigerated , there is a refrigerator located in the activity room . Please date the item and put the resident ’ s name on it .
Thank you very much .
Happy Easter
Easter is Sunday , April 16 . That entire week we will celebrate both the resurrection of Jesus and activities centered around the Easter bunny .
We will make crosses , celebrate both Holy Thursday and Good Friday as well as discuss the true meaning of Easter .
We will also make Easter decorations , Easter treats , paint Easter eggs , and play some Easter games . It will be a fun-filled week for everyone .
From all of us at Colonial Springs , we wish you all a very safe and happy Easter celebration .
