The historical memory provided by the Cultural Heritage Section of the
City of Ávila, based on official writings describing events directly related to
the spatial distribution of the Jesuit complex of Arévalo during the seven-
teenth and eighteenth centuries, mentions that the plan of the former Real
Colegio del Espíritu Santo de la Compañía de Jesús in Salamanca was
analogous, providing thus the information to study the original display of
the complex in its heyday.
In this way, we develop different scenarios about its location, where the
body of the church and the college relate to each other from a central clois-
ter. We decided to rescue this element and empower it in the conceptual
contemporary architectonic proposal.
