Farishta Faiz Mohammad’s family was among the first Afghan refugees to resettle in the Bay Area after 9/11. She graduated from high school with President’s award for academic achievements in 2003. She attended Heald College and obtained Associate in Applied Science Degree in Medical Assisting with highest honors.
