Nancy Dudley, MA in Gerontology, was the recipient of the Patrick Nobis
Scholarship for Excellence in Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly
(RCFE) Administration. She successfully completed her culminating
research project on Palliative Care in Long-Term Care. Nancy is now
pursuing the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing Health Policy at
the University of California, San Francisco where she is the recipient of a
prestigious Hartford Geriatric Center for Excellence Scholarship.
Serene Park, MA in Gerontology, was the recipient of the Michelle
Benjamin Scholarship for Excellence in Service Learning in Long-Term
Care Administration. She successfully completed her AdministratorIn-Training (AIT) internship at the Jewish Home San Francisco which
provides services for many different older adults with multiple and unique
care and service needs (e.g. memory enhancement) and at various income
levels. After graduation, Serene accepted the position as Reminiscence
Coordinator for Sunrise Senior Living in San Mateo, CA.
Clifford Bartolome, Leticia Conde, and Marlena del Hierro, MA in
Gerontology, were all recipients of the Monarch Village Scholarships
for Excellence in Service Learning in Gerontology. They successfully
completed their internships at Monarch Village, a premier senior
community that encourages independent and active lifestyles. After
graduation, Marlena accepted the position as Director of Community
Outreach and Education for AgeSong Senior Communities, and assisted
living community located in San Francisco.
