A Message to future educators
Dear Future Educator,
The College Credit Plus (CCP) Teacher Pathway Program is a great opportunity to prepare for a rewarding
career in Pre-12th grade.
This program provides the opportunity to earn college credit towards a teaching degree and license while you
are in high school saving you time and money. We also encourage you to use the opportunity to explore a
double major and adding an additional license or endorsement with the time you save.
The intent of the CCP Teacher Pathway Program is to recruit diverse teachers in an effort to support the need
to increase the number of diverse teachers in the State of Ohio and across the Nation. We would love to see
students return to the district they attended as a student, however, there are many local districts searching for
bilingual, Latinx, and African-American students. Diversity also applies to female high school science and math teachers and males in early
childhood and/or special education.
We, at the Lake Erie College School of Education, are excited to work with high school students who are passionate about becoming a teacher.
We are also encouraged that we will learn from each of you and further enhance the value of our program graduates and their contributions to
local schools.
I welcome you to this important program and look forward to walking with you along this journey.
Sincerely,
Dr. Katharine Delavan
Dean, School of Education
