The following discipline summary was recently posted :
Dr . Howard Covant
As a result of a professional misconduct hearing , the member was found guilty and his licence was suspended for one month .
The member resold products purchased from drug wholesalers which is a direct violation of the prohibition set out in Regulation 1093 .
As well as having his licence suspended , the penalty includes a reprimand ; completion of a ProBE ethics course ; and a practice inspection . As well , the member must pay costs of $ 94,235.12 .

If your information is inaccurate , you risk missing notifications and deadlines which may result in late fees . You always want to be able to respond to College requests relating to your licence .
Updates to your home , work or e-mail address and phone numbers can easily be done in the Professional Practice Portal .
College By-laws require veterinarians to update contact information within 30 days .
SUPPORT AVAILABLE FOR GRIEVING OWNERS
The College recognizes the challenges owners experience when they lose their animal . The College has engaged Homewood Health to provide a one-hour session to assist participants in processing their grief .
The next session is on September 18 , 2024 at 12pm EST . Registration is required .
Veterinarians and their teams are encouraged to share details on these sessions with their clients who may benefit from the support .
