It was time for me to retire from coaching. During many of those years, I was lucky enough to
be actively involved in AAU Baseball. I was my associations, baseball president and also a VP
on the National Committee for AAU Baseball, serving under my incredible mentor, Pam
Marshall.
I have served with great organizations like CABA and USA Premier. Recently, I accepted a role
with the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF), the oldest amateur baseball
organization in the US. I’m honored to serve with Mr. Charles Blackburn, Exec. Director at
NABF.
I have seen many recruiting companies come and go over my years in baseball. The vast
majority of high school athletes and parents lack the knowledge and understanding of the
college recruiting process. Even the families who experience it with one child can be
overwhelmed going through it again with another child. Many recruits and parents just let
the process run its course. And ultimately, the college recruiting process leaves them feeling
confused, frustrated, and/or left out.
I have chosen two tools that are highlighted in this publication, to present to you as excellent
guides in the college recruiting process.
