As a producer and Mercury Records executive, Jerry Kennedy helped shape the careers of Roger Miller, Jerry Reed, The Statler Brothers, Tom T. Hall, Johnny Rodriguez, and Reba McEntire.
Circa 1959, Jerry Kennedy( playing his Burst), Margie Singleton( with Martin 0-18), and a Strat-wielding Tommy Tomlinson performing on the Louisiana Hayride show. In the early 1960s, Kennedy and Tomlinson formed the guitar duo Tom and Jerry and released a series of albums.
