If you just want to be a musician, we can see if we can get you a job in an orchestra.” I’ ve always been fascinated by singers, hosts of shows, and people with great timing. I watched people work as far back as The Ed Sullivan Show. I watched people like Dom DeLuise and Bob Hope and of course Groucho Marx. And then when I met Chet, I realized, oh my God, he’ s as comical offstage as someone like Bob Hope. His timing is old school, and it’ s really good.
