Rex saw a new Fender Stratocaster being
played on the TV show (probably by Roy
Nichols) and had to have one. He drove
to Bakersfield and traded in his Epiphone
acoustic on a Stratocaster with an amp.
Although he was happy with his purchase
he missed the ability to play guitar without
set them free back on the market.
Both the guitar and amp were in terrific
condition… 9.5. They both found new
homes within 24 hours and now will play on
in Rex’s honor.

Rex played the Strat for a few years at
his church and then when the family had
changed churches and Rex started a new
business the Fender guitar and amp were
stored away in the entry closet. Rex passed
away at 42 and then his son Sam was the
steward of the vintage gear. Sam is an
acoustic guitar player and after years of the
electric guitar and amp being idle, decided to
