2025 – Present
PPL Engineering Services Ltd – Authorising Engineer( Designate)
Authorising Engineer for High Voltage and Low Voltage Electrical systems and Mechanical and Pressure systems. Applying experience and knowledge in the development of site and system specific Safe Systems of Work along with additional requirements to comply with current legislation and procedures.
Assisting with the implementation, administration, monitoring and auditing of the Safe System of Work. Engaged by commercial FM organisations and NHS Trusts.
2022- 2025
TADFM – Authorising Engineer
Authorising Engineer for the contracted services and responsibilities to NHS Trusts / Boards and FM service providers. Assisting Clients in the meeting of their responsibilities and requirements of relevant Health Technical Memorandum( HTM) and / or other relevant legislation applicable to different types of systems.
Authorising Engineer duties and responsibilities carried out in accordance with Pressure Systems Regulations 2000 and SHTM 08-08, Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 and SHTM 08-09, Low and High voltage electrical systems as per HTM’ s 06-02 and 06-03 respectively.
As Authorising Engineer assisted clients with the production of polices and bespoke Safe Systems of Work procedures for specific discipline.
2021 – 2022
Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation- Trust Estates Compliance Manager
Assisting the Head of Estates and PFI with the compliance of the Estates Team with particular responsibility to current statutory legislation, Health and Safety issues and compliance with Health Technical Memorandums( HTMs).
In addition to the above, provided technical and managerial support to various parties to ensure the effective and efficient procurement, management and control of in-house staff, specialist engineering services and consultants.
2019 – 2021
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust- Estates Officer
Working within the Estates team as Estates Officer with responsibility for Estates services at two of the main hospitals as operated and managed by the Trust.
Role required effective management and leadership support for Estates and Capital services staff in the Estates operational maintenance, additional works, capital backlog and maintenance services, supported by performance management arrangement.
Worked as part of a small group of managerial / technical staff managing and operating complex technical systems and processes across the Trust, ensuring compliance with Trust standards, procedures and legislation.
During my time with the Trust was appointed as Authorised Person for low voltage electrical systems, high voltage electrical systems and lifts, as required and laid down within specific Health Technical Memorandum( HTM) and Health and Safety documentation. The role also necessitated the nomination as designated Authorised Person for pressure systems under the auspices of PSSR 2000 regulations.

Amey- Mobile Authorised Person
Engaged as mobile Authorised Person for the operation and maintenance of low and high voltage electrical systems as required by Ministry of Defence( MOD) Safe System of Work Joint Services Publication( JSP) 375, Volume 3, Chapters 2 & across numerous MOD establishments within Lincolnshire.
