MSA Safety celebrates anniversary of Bacharach acquisition
Refrigerant gas detectors MSA Safety and MSA Bacharach mark the second anniversary of the Bacharach acquisition .
Within the past two years , the company has moved production in Ireland from Bacharach Dublin to more extensive MSA facilities in Galway , which has improved production output for the EMEA region and beyond . This has provided increased stock capacity to better serve the growing need for industry-leading refrigerant gas detection in the HVAC & R industry .
Since the July 2021 acquisition , the company is serving a broader range of markets with MSA Safety ’ s and MSA Bacharach ’ s industry-leading gas detection measurement and monitoring tools . Together , this advances a joint mission focused on workplace safety .
“ MSA is focused on providing innovative , quality safety products and technology solutions while improving operational efficiencies ,” said Aaron Tufts , chief operating officer of MSA Bacharach . “ By integrating all Bacharach locations into the MSA Safety sales system , this has allowed for more direct customer communication and feedback . Additionally , by insourcing most of the production , including manufacturing , we ’ ve been able to reduce lead times .

Staycold International invests in new manufacturing equipment
Staycold International have invested in state-of-the-art equipment for their factory in Parys , Free State .
This includes a coil-to-laser machine – the first of its kind in Africa - as well as a new injection foaming machine , received and commissioned during the first half of 2023 . This will increase Staycold ’ s manufacturing ability relating to self-contained commercial fridges and freezers , primarily for the beverage and hospitality industries .
The injection foaming machine was purchased from the world-renowned Cannon company in Italy . It is Staycold ’ s second foaming machine and was purchased to assist with the foaming division ’ s flexibility and capacity to insulate the cabinets . All Staycold products are manufactured with environmentally friendly Ecomate insulation , as proper insulation plays a fundamental roll in overall system energy efficiency .
The new coil-to-laser cutting machine was purchased from Laser ISSE in Turkey during March 2023 and arrived in early July . Laser ISSE ’ s engineering team spent two weeks setting up and commissioning the laser cutter at Staycold ’ s manufacturing facility . This machine cuts material directly from the coil , which helps with optimisation and decreasing wastage . The laser machine , in combination with a newly acquired laser welding machine , further improves sheet metal quality .
