Dairy producer continues to grow and service SA
This article will highlight a few of the
interesting systems around the
organisation including blast chillers,
ice banks, depot cold rooms, and some
of the expansions they are busy with to
bring their products closer to their clients.
LATEST EXPANSIONS
The most recent cold storage additions to
Douglasdale's collection was a distribution
depot cold room in Vereeniging, Gauteng.
This cold room received milk and
Amazi from the Fourways bottling plant

to be distributed to surrounding areas
in the South of Johannesburg. The cold
room with a volume of roughly 1 000
cubic metres was ordered early in 2020
with a view to start breaking ground
early in the year and completing around
April 2020, however with the Covid-19
crisis emerging right in the middle of the
project, it was paused and started again
during May to be completed, bar a few
snags, in June 2020.
The facility is scheduled to go
into operation in August 2020 when
