A2L compressors now available
Bitzer has approved serial production of its Orbit
model range, VL and ORBIT+ scroll compressors for
use with A2L refrigerants.
Both compressor series provide several years of
planning security due to the low global-warming
potential (GWP) values of the refrigerant. The Orbit
and Orbit+ scroll compressors demonstrated their
quality and future-proof compatibility in extensive
tests. In addition, they have been successfully
qualified by important OEM customers in their
qualification programmes.
The Orbit and Orbit+ compressor models feature
displacements of between 20 and 80m 3 /h (50Hz)
and are designed for air conditioning systems
and heat pumps. Their strengths include a wide
application range, high energy efficiency and a
low noise level. All compressors in the series can also
be operated at a fixed speed or using an external
frequency inverter with variable speed (35 – 75Hz).

The fitting application
Carel introduces the E2V-CW, the new
electronic expansion valve with copper
fittings designed for transcritical CO 2
applications.
The new E2V-CW featuring copper
fittings, has been developed as the
evolution of the previous series of high-
pressure valves.
E2V-CW uses modulating
equipercentile control, guaranteeing the

utmost accuracy and a rapid response
in the control of refrigeration systems. This
feature is common across the entire range
of Carel ExV valves and ensures extreme
precision at low cooling capacities and a
fast response to sudden variations in load
at high capacities.
