New VSP chiller
The STRATOS VSP series comprises air-cooled chillers in the upper capacity range . It covers a very wide range of applications like process cooling , air conditioning and industrial applications .
The STRATOS VSP models are equipped with V-shaped condenser coils and six to sixteen EC fans . Depending on the size , the units of the STRATOS VSP series have one or two independent refrigerant circuits , each with a compact screw compressor with eco function . Together with the use of microchannel condensers , this results in the lowest possible refrigerant charge quantities per circuit . Semi-hermetic screw compressors are used , which were specially developed for use with flammable refrigerants . The capacity control is stepless via inverter . Only R290 ( propane ) is used as refrigerant in this series . All components used comply with the highest quality standards and valid safety requirements . All units are subject to a test run with functional checks before delivery .
The hydraulic piping is made of stainless steel and components such as butterfly valves , Y-filter , vent valve , filling and draining valve , as well as a safety valve are already standard .

Panasonic releases its cutting-edge 20HP cold chain refrigeration condensing units
These cutting-edge units are engineered to redefine industry standards and address environmental concerns by replacing high global warming potential ( GWP ) refrigerants such as R404a .
The new range is suited to a wide range of applications including chilled and low temperature display cases , walk-in cold stores , blast chillers , freezers and other process cooling applications across a wide range of sectors .
The entire Panasonic cold chain range of equipment operates on natural refrigerant R744 ( CO 2
). The units offer an ozone depletion potential ( ODP ) of 0 and a minimal GWP of 1 , making it the ideal choice for end users to take when investing in new equipment .
The units offer a high degree of flexibility with extended pipe runs of up to 100m , and a small compact footprint of 1.06m 2 – reducing the need for larger plant spaces . Resource Data Management ’ s newly developed software – Refrigeration Performance Indicator ( RPI ) – offers industry-first benefits : it provides businesses and designers with data about the efficiency , carbon footprint and running costs of their refrigeration systems on a granular level . IDENTIFYING THE MOST EFFICIENT REFRIGERATION SYSTEM DESIGN
For the first time , businesses can now compare the efficiency of various refrigeration system designs like-for-like . They can now choose the system that delivers the smallest carbon footprint and running costs in the context of their sites .
Using RPI , businesses can analyse the impact of factors such as energy use , heat reclaim , system size , different manufacturers ’ equipment , and environmental conditions on their system ’ s efficiency . RPI also calculates an electrical coefficient of performance ( COPe ) which further helps the comparison of different systems . With this data , businesses

can make the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly decision when choosing a refrigeration system .
Over time , businesses can also use RPI to assess the impact of retrofits , seasonal changes , or operational changes on the efficiency of their refrigeration system .
RPI offers performance data for individual refrigeration system components , including individual display cases , coldrooms and evaporators . By doing so , RPI diverts from the industry standard of using only energy submetering for the whole refrigeration system to determine energy use . Using the situationally adjusted data from RPI , users can identify system components with unusually high energy use which facilitates corrective

Semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor series comes equipped with optimised IQ Module CM-RC-02
BITZER – the refrigeration , air conditioning and heat pump specialist – advises that for all orders received from 1 January 2024 , ECOLINE reciprocating compressors of the C3 series or later installed at the Schkeuditz factory will come with the new generation of the IQ Module CM-RC-02 .
IQ Module simplifies and optimises compressor installation , operation , maintenance and retrofitting for refrigeration , air conditioning and heat pump systems .
Since the beginning of the year , the Schkeuditz factory has been replacing the SE-B3 compressor protection devices
in semi-hermetic Ecoline reciprocating compressors of the C3 series and later with the CM-RC-02 , the new generation of the BITZER IQ Module . This not only assumes the functions once covered by the compressor protection device , but also offers a new world for operating the installed compressor functions as well as new digital services .
In addition to monitoring the compressor ’ s key operating parameters , the IQ MODULE CM-RC-02 can also operate compressor motor protection and the oil heater and keep an eye on the discharge gas temperature and oil supply . The high-pressure switch can be connected directly to the compressor module . The CM-RC-02 simply requires the switch signal from the superior system controller to activate the compressor .
