The GCCA SA Risk Management Committee has identified the major risks experienced by the cold storage industry and hosted an industry seminar on 2 March in Gauteng .
The full day seminar focused on the following risks : ammonia , riots , major hazard installations , water and electricity outages , crises management programme implementation , risk management software , as well as the aspect of insurance which remains one of the main concerns for cold storage facilities around the world .
Leading industry and business experts shared their knowledge , thoughts , ideas and possible solutions and the day was
full of innovations , trends , networking and discussions on the various subjects .
The seminar brought together a full house of executives and senior managers in the cold storage and controlled environment building industries , as well as equipment suppliers and service providers .
