INCORPORATING COLD CHAIN

Optimum wine production

Cutting it right

The new OLFA CTR SK-12 cutter is designed and manufactured to cater mainly for the food and medical industries; however, its unique features make it suitable for all industries.
The 100 % stainless steel cutter can be cleaned regularly without rusting and its sanitary design makes it easy to clean. Another feature is the special metal detectable handle for food production environments or similar applications. It’ s the first unit with a preloaded safety blade, a slip resistant handle with convenient notches to
improve control when cutting, and the blade is NSF certified and self-retracting.

The new GEA Wine Decanter in skid design opens up new, highly profitable production perspectives to winegrowers: 100 % of must recovered has a comparable quality to premium free-run juice in grape juicing.
It covers a spectrum of five applications with just one skid in the process staging juicing, clarification and lees processing. It does all this with significant time and quality gains while simultaneously saving substantial costs.
Due to its innovative design, the skid is multifunctional: applicable for juicing, must clarification, and the treatment of flotation sediment, must and wine lees.

Lighting that meets harsh industrial conditions

The Roughguard LED has been designed to be used in industrial corrosive and harsh environments. With applications in logistics centres, warehouses, factories, and other areas where vandalism and corrosive elements are prevalent, the Roughguard LED will be able to not only withstand these environments, but also efficiently provide light exactly where it is needed.
The Roughguard LED is the ultimate solution available in the industrial market today for lighting up harsh public and private spaces into more sustainable, safer and convivial environments.

Space saver forklifts

Fridge aerodynamics

The Aisle-Master articulated VNA forklift trucks have been used in ambient warehouses for several years, with proven space saving of up to 50 %. This is achieved by reducing aisles as low as 1.6m with a 15NE model truck.
With cold storage space being at a substantial premium to that of conventional ambient warehouse space, this saving in space is even more vital in the cold chain sector. The cold storage range of fully AC Aisle-Master Electric articulated forklift trucks operate in and out of the fridges, on normally paved terrain, or slightly cracked or undulated surfaces.

Williams Advanced Engineering, the division of Williams that commercialises Formula One derived technology and know-how, has collaborated with UK start-up Aerofoil Energy to develop a new aerodynamic device that can significantly reduce the energy consumed by refrigerators in supermarkets and convenience stores.
Aerofoils are carefully designed and engineered profiles that control the direction of airflow. The aerofoil system attaches onto each refrigerator shelf to keep more of the cool air inside the refrigerator cabinet.
Tests by Williams and Aerofoil Energy show energy savings of between 20 % and 30 %.
