MHI announces new R32 multi-split AC
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems has started mass production of its KXZ3 series of commercial multi-split air conditioners for worldwide markets . The newly added lineup , which adopts R32 refrigerant , will be available in three models : 22.4kW , 28kW and 33.5kW . By combining individual units , a maximum 100.05kW can be achieved to accommodate a wide range of applications .
The new series increases energy savings through a near 18 % improvement in SEER compared to previous 28kW versions . The increased energy efficiency is said to be due to the adoption of a new compressor optimised for R32 , plus a new air flow path design , including a newly configured impeller and bell mouth .
The KXZ3 also features a new exterior design , while the required installation space has been cut some 28 % from the previous models . This is said to be due to adoption of a single-fan structure and a compact yet highly efficient heat exchanger with reduced diameter copper tube . produce in sandwich shops , butcher shops , delis and supermarkets . Newly added features include a variable temperature and capacity control which automatically balances energy saving performance and indoor comfort by the automatic adjustment of refrigerant pressure according to the indoor and outdoor temperatures . Toshiba super multi-u heat recovery VRF series and heating / cooling mode switch units
Toshiba Carrier Corporation ( TCC ) will expand its Toshiba-brand Super Multi-u TM VRF series with a total of 201 heat recovery models and five heating / cooling mode switch models this northern-hemisphere summer .
The newly launched heat recovery lineup includes standard high efficiency and super-high efficiency models , as well as models dedicated for cold climate regions . The heating / cooling mode switch unit controls the refrigerant flow for each indoor unit to perform cooling or heating operations as needed , and as a result , delivers simultaneous cooling and heating operations with one VRF system .

Danfoss ’ new PSH scroll compressor with vapour injection may be a gamechanger for heat pump adoption . Its ability to operate in a wider range of ambient temperatures allows for an effective and efficient heat pump in colder climates . Increasing the operating range of heat pumps is essential for achieving decarbonisation .
An R454B optimised dedicated heat pump compressor with higher allowable discharge gas temperature limits , the PSH compressor with vapour injection is also multi-refrigerant qualified for R410A and R454B and simplifies the transition to R454B , which has a lower global warming potential . It is designed for medium and high temperature applications ( up to 65 ° C ) and low ambient operation . A large range of compressor capacities are available from 7.5 – 40 tons of refrigeration and individual compressors can be manifolded together to further increase system capacity .
