EVENTS AND EXHIBITIONS INCORPORATING COLD CHAIN Metraclark puts customers first Metraclark has been hosting customer evenings all over the country to get face-to-face with its customers, with a number more still in the diary for the remainder of the year. L ocal wholesaler Metraclark has been making a concerted effort to get to its clients with its greatly successful customer evening events. With 12 planned for this year and another 12 for next year, these events provide the company’s senior management with a great opportunity to share information with customers at each of its 24 branches. Senior management members such as Johann Jooste (operations manager), Kobus Hattingh (general manager), and Ivana de Knecker (credit manager) attend all these events around the country, where Hattingh kicks things off with a presentation on the company called ‘Metraclark today’ to make sure customers are up to date with the latest developments within the company. 3 1 4 2 A handful of exclusive Metraclark suppliers are also given a chance to present and say a few words about their products and what is new. These include: Emerson, A-Gas, Danfoss, ALP, and Chint. “It’s impossible for us to visit each customer individually,” explained Johann Jooste. “These events give us the opportunity to get in front of our customers and engage with them.” COLD LINK AFRICA • July/August 2019 1.
