For decades in industry, the cleaning |
of rust, dirt, old paint, and various |
contaminants from surfaces has |
frequently presented a major challenge. |
Cleaning of this nature has previously |
been done manually, or via processes |
such as sand- or shot-blasting or with the |
use of high-pressure water jetting |
( hydro-blasting). |
Now, in an initiative that is set to |
revolutionise industrial cleaning, NitraLife |

— along with its long-term partner Boland |

Comtest is offering the new Fluke Ti450 Pro series infrared cameras, recently finetuned to make it easier for technicians, engineers, and electricians to get to the problem’ s root cause faster by identifying hot spots, cold spots, and apparent surface temperature differentials with a higher degree of confidence.
These cameras offer a leadingedge visual infrared experience with a smart, intuitive user interface. The units feature increased thermal sensitivity that captures the smallest measurement differences, the latest technology for on screen clarity, and lens compatibility to capture targets.
MultiSharp focus captures images that are focused throughout the field of view, even if users start from a completely blurry target. The camera takes multiple images and combines them to give a clear, accurate focus on targets, near and far.
Upgraded features include increased sensor sensitivity; sharper images for diagnosing; updated user interface; more flexibility to visualise targets with smart lenses; and ability to share thermal images.

Dry Ice— has introduced innovative wet ice blasting technology for the first time ever in South Africa.
The Coulson IceStorm90 ice blaster is the first industrial cleaning machine on the market to use crushed ice as blasting media. Coarse ice cubes can be fed into the machine, which then automatically crushes the ice to the grain-sized particles required for blasting.
It offers a more cost-effective and far more environmentally friendly, watersaving option to current conventional industrial cleaning technologies. Compared to the new technology of wet ice blasting, conventional hydro-blasting
uses up to 35 times more water to achieve the same effect.
The most obvious applications are in locomotive and ship maintenance and repair.
