A brand new office, a new training
facility, and new management
— a lot has been happening at
the local Emerson Climate
Technologies office.
The Emerson team is now based in the Longmeadow Business Estate East in Modderfontein, having moved from their previous offices in Linbro Business Park. They are led by Danie de Beer who is the regional manager sub-Saharan Africa. De Beer is no stranger to the industry and has been based overseas for the better part of the past decade, most recently in Dubai. Now he is back and ready to take the team to new heights.

The company has renewed its focus on training with a recently completed facility at its Johannesburg office. From August onwards, it will offer training on its Copeland semi-hermetic compressors as well as ZX condensing units and even electronics for supermarket applications. Training will take place at least once a month and will be very hands-on with a dedicated training manager.
De Beer is also hard at work growing his local team to help support projects.“ I am very proud of the team I currently have as it’ s a very strong team— not just with sales capabilities, but also on a technical scale,” he said.

The vision is to bring the wider Emerson range of products to the local market, not just as a supplier, but also as a total solutions provider. As an example, Emerson will be focusing on its industrial cooling business, particularly systems using CO 2 refrigerant. In the long term, the plan is to grow sales in the entire sub-Saharan Africa region.
“ Our plan is to grow our brand to be the leading cooling solution supplier in the region,” explained De Beer.“ Our entire strategy has changed with the various divisions of Emerson working closer together to offer complete solutions to our customers.” A lot is happening so watch this space! CLA
