Etlin International has been growing rapidly since its inception in 1989, focusing
heavily on service levels to help it work towards its goal of becoming the most
efficient supply chain service provider.

GETTING STARTED
Etlin International was founded in 1989
by Etienne and Linda Lotter to provide
the South African market with cheaper
alternatives of protein that would enable
lower income consumers of South Africa
to have sufficient nourishment.
The main products imported served
the major manufacturing companies
for many years, and due to exponential
growth, the organisation invested in
infrastructure with the likes of cold
storages and refrigerated
trucks nationally.
PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
So what products and services does the
company offer? Apart from the imported
and locally produced frozen product
range, the logistics division has grown
exponentially, developing a national
footprint and becoming one of the
leading service providers in the cold
storage and logistics industry.
The organisation has cold stores
in KwaZulu-Natal, Johannesburg,
and Cape Town. All cold stores are
strategically situated close to the main
ports to serve the import and export
markets. Together with the cold stores,
the company started buying its own
fleet of refrigerated trucks and trailers
to help move its product through to its
customers; therefore, the organisation
has total control over every aspect of
operations from manufacturing/supply/
