Danfoss introduces the SW19-59 range of plate heat exchanger
Fans for oil-cooled applications
ebm-papst has developed special fans for application in oil cooled transformers that satisfy rigorous requirements for service life and salt spray resistance .
Suitable for deployment in high salt content coastal areas .
Switching off individual fans can lead to the oil developing ‘ hot spots ’. Thanks to EC technology , it is possible to use the fans in partial-load operation . The consequence is a more even flow through the radiator .
Motor does not heat up dramatically , which extends the fan ' s service life . Partial-load
operation not only saves energy and lowers operating costs , but also results in less waste heat .
The commutation and stator design also ensure extremely smooth operation , which makes them suitable for areas of application where the noise protection regulations must be obeyed .
Fans work with power supplies between 200-240 V and 380-480 V , and satisfy all the relevant standards ( CE , UL , CSA , EAC ,
INCORPORATING COLD CHAIN
CCC ) as well as the degree of protection IP55 requirements .
The fans come in sizes 500mm to 1 250mm with air performance of up to 13 m ³/ s .

The new series of semi-welded plate heat exchangers have been specifically designed , crafted , and tested to fit ammonia-based industrial refrigeration applications .
Several key improvements have been made to the design :
• The range features improved thermal performance due to a more compact design with optimised plate geometry to support high turbulent flow and a lower charge .
• A new gasket system and grove design has been engineered to ensure high gasket stability and optimal plate alignment , enabling easy and fast service and maintenance .
• This new design improves the sealing effect and prevents gasket-blow out . Furthermore , the risk of contamination is reduced due to the double gasket barrier that will drain potential leakages outside of the plate pack . The new gasket system is glue free for easy maintenance .
• The SW19-59 range is easy to service and maintain . Technicians have quick access to the plate pack with the non-corrosive nylon roller that makes it easy to slide the follower along the carrying bar .

The door is manufactured from a 3mm ABS skin which

retains its physical properties down to temperatures of -40 ° C . The skin is impervious to moisture , acids , petroleum products , animal fats , rodent , insects and salt solutions . The door ’ s insulation characteristics are enhanced by its high-density , non-CFC urethane foam core . The patented honeycomb framework and flexible urethane foam insulation provide optimum stability and superior soundproofing qualities . |
To prevent excessive wear on the perimeter edges the door panels are bull-nosed with a minimum radius of 8mm .
Doors are mounted on an internal welded steel perimeter with corner gussets using a CMI type ‘ V ’ gravity hinging system .
Gasket keys are moulded in place and retain gasketing without the use of screws , rivets or other fasteners .
High bumpers are also fitted to the door panel to further absorb impact from forklift trucks and carts .
