PRODUCTS INCORPORATING COLD CHAIN Breathe easy Ulilog recently launched its SafeAir Ultraviolet Air Purifiers. These devices ensure clean, healthy indoor air quality by proactively controlling and reducing the transmission of pathogens such as airborne bacteria, viruses, and fungi, as well as yeast and mould spores. It also neutralises known carcinogens like volatile organic compounds (VOCs), oxides of nitrogen (NOx), and second-hand tobacco smoke. The SafeAir Ultraviolet Air Purifier uses ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) and an ioniser to effectively reduce and neutralise airborne pathogens. The fan-assisted device draws in air from the Robust monitoring room, which passes over concealed ultraviolet lamps. Available in various models, the compact and flexible device can easily be fitted onto a ceiling or against a wall. This non-invasive, odourless, and quiet unit is ideal for virtually any indoor space where people gather. SafeAir is extremely safe and emits zero direct radiation. It requires minimal maintenance and the UVC lamps have a lifespan of three years (or 9 000 hours), while the negative ion generator has a life expectancy of 50 000 hours. Kobold, represented locally by Instrotech, has introduced the model RCD flow meter for measuring and monitoring the flow of liquids and gases. Depending on the model, the measuring range of the device is from 0.5 to 2 350ℓ/min for water, and 0.5 to For more information, contact +27 (0) 12 998 3757. 2 750Nm 3 /h for air with connections G1/2 to G3, ½ "NPT to 3" NPT. It can also be used to measure and/or monitor other liquids and gases. Specific display scales are available for use with any media at any pressure and temperature. This flow meter is appropriate for use in the areas of machinery, plants, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, heavy industry, as well as the beverage and luxury-food industries. Special advantages of the unit are no moving parts, universal mounting, self-monitoring, and easy operation. Measurement accuracies are 3% of the upper range value, with a reproducibility of 1%, also of the upper range value. The maximum service temperature is 100°C for a needle indicator and 80°C for an electronic display.  For more information, contact +27 (0) 10 595 1831. 46 www.coldlinkafrica.co.za COLD LINK AFRICA • January | February 2018
