Puregas awards partners

On 27 September last year, Puregas’ s Annual Partnership Awards were held at the World Trade Centre in Morningside to give back to their loyal customers and suppliers.

The theme for the event was‘ Driving vision to reality’ and as always, the focus was to acknowledge their customers, with the main emphasis being on the results of the safety audits done by their technical manager, Grant

Philip Cloete, managing director of Puregas, officially kicked things off with an overview of both the industry and the company over the past 12 months, highlighting challenges as well as victories— for example, installing its first CO 2 plant in Namibia for Coca Cola.
Another highlight of the event was the presentation of the progress made with installing the new 500m ³ butane storage vessel. After two years of planning and regulatory approvals, this project is
will improve Puregas’ s ability to ensure the continuity of propellant supply to its partners during shortages.
“ In general, we have had a good year,” said Cloete.“ It had its challenges, but we are looking forward to the new year and the opportunities it will bring.”
Guest speaker Clem Sunter gave an informative adaptation on how to be a fox and to juggle ideas and adapt to how the world is changing. Sunter highlighted the cloudy and clockwork flags changing the global business game, leaving guests enlightened on the importance of leadership and nurturing entrepreneurial spark.
